The 2016 Go21 – Halton Walk for Down Syndrome event, which took place on July the 18th at the Milton Fairgrounds,  marked the 2nd annual tradition hosted by Halton Down Syndrome Association with the support of  “Have a Heart for Down Syndrome” (HHDS) foundation. The joint efforts of these two passionate organizations have again exceeded the initial fundraising goal, having collected over $100,000 in donations. These funds will  facilitate a wealth of education programs, employment opportunities and forge new paths within our immediate communities for Down syndrome youth, young adults and for generations of kids to come.

Darryl Sittler, former Toronto Maple Leaf Captain and 1989 Hockey Hall of Fame Inductee, has once again moved the crowd with his touching words as he marshaled the event with a speech and put a spring in the steps of the 1500 event attendees in time for the walk!
